Wouldn't it make sense to have the regions affect the Nations under it? The administrator of a particular region can change how...

For example, if you moved your nation to Communist Island it would decrease strongly your civil rights, economy, and political freedoms. But if you joined Democratic island civil rights might strongly increase. And so forth...

How bout it?

Not to get into politics, but I imagine this would require a considerable code addition, and thus imagine that it would not be put into effect.

Also, regions represent geographic areas, like continents or island clusters. Location tends not to have such a heavy influence on political workings, unless harsh terrains calls for a survivalistic government. In any case, issues are used to address such matters.

Considering the number of regions, and the dynamic nature of the overall composition of them, and individual composition of each, I really do not think this would be feasible.
