Okay, so I'm really new here, but I'm familiar with the IC/OOC RP concepts, etc.
I read the rules for this portion of the forums, and think that (if I'm not mistaken) this is where I would advertise a new region. Bear with me, I'm gonna learn this game as I go along.
The name of the region is The Cluster. It's sort of a parody, as is my NationState, "The Dominion of Forbath". Anyone interested in good roleplaying combined with social parody (That's my style; I don't go in for the purely serious political RPing just as a matter of prefference. No offense to those that do, it's just not for me.)
Here's my original write-up for the World Fact sheet thing for the Cluster region. It was too long, but I figure if anyone is interested, it gives you an idea of what my NS and the region are about. Hell, what my whole approach to the game is about is sort of outlined in this IC write up:
The Cluster: Regional History: The Cluster was founded (Read: Conquered) by The Right Reverend Anninaias Forbath, legendary patriarch of the Dominion of Forbath and self-proclaimed 'Steward of Women'. It is made up of nations supposedly "mysogenistic" in nature, and possesses a physically warm, moist, and young clime. The jungles of the Cluster are rife with virgin fruit trees that loll and dollop generous bounties of swollen, cleaved seedpods to the soft forest floor. The indigents of the Cluster make sweet "hool-domph" to these oddly pink seedpods, entwining their limbs with the curvatures of the fruit in a well-practiced ancient fertility tradition. The Dominion of Forbath has illegalized "sweet hool-domph", labeling it "heathenish and over-stimulating to our young folks", and any person or persons practicing or suspected of practicing this appalling taboo are shot on sight, with extreme prejudice. The Dominion of Forbath, under the leadership of the Right Reverend Forbath, has managed to bring some semblance of civility to the local natives. Those that the government has failed to domesticate it corrals. Any nation interested in working with the Dominion of Forbath may apply, keeping the following in mind: Socially, The Dominion of Forbath concentrates particularly hard on ignoring those societal members too weak to contribute to the rest of their little stretch of civilization, reinforcing the strong members of the Dominion while weeding out those who claim to be 'The Worst Off'. The Dominion is not above enforcing its will within the borders of other nation-states, but is far more concerned with its own solidarity than it is with imperialism. The Martial enforcement of the Cluster generally involves flogging, caning, tea-bagging, and other forms of painfull public humiliation via blunt instrument. The Dominion's attitude is, "Eh, it seems to work all right."
