I am looking for a modern tech region, that is not pro-war but neither pro-peace. One that will take a newbie and does not mind a state that uses artificial insemination as a national domestic policy.
I'm brand-new here, too, but have some experience with RPing. I created a sort of satirical region called "The Cluster" for my nation-state, the Dominion of Forbath. We're interested in tech and science in general, and are sort of isolationist so you don't have to worry about war-mongers. The region is not open to just anyone, so you'd need to check it out, see if you're interested, and send me a telegram if you are. I'll give you the password if we seem compatible.

try how life feels in Area 69
Come to George. We are a region that is open to all ideas. We have a forum, and are creating a regional government complete with branches, Constitution, and judges. Join, and you can run for office still.

I'm President Bennidor Ponde of the United States of Wilhelmar, speaking for all three Wilhelmaran States. I am also the founder of Greater California, and the President of the Greater California Regional Senate. I am looking for relatively peaceful nations to add to the Regional Senate, so as to hold Regional Elections. The GCRS is a loose federation of nations, meaning there is no real Regional Government. The GCRS is much more like a miniature United Nations. If you choose to join, you will be immediately offered a position on the Greater California Regional Senate with "Member" status, from which point you may jockey for higher positions such as "President". You will have certain powers and responsibilites as a "Member", however, but I don't think any of them are too much to ask.
Powers
The Powers of Members of the Regional Senate include power to bring about political, ideological, and social change/reform by drafting, supporting, and/or campaigning for Regional Resolutions. Members will also have the power campaign against resolutions they do not like, convince other nations to back them in their fight against unwanted resolutions, and vote against resolutions that are dissatisfactory.
Responsibilities
The Responsibilites of Members include maintaining a democratic government, at least to some extent. (In other words, make at least some feeble attempt at democratic government.) Also, member nations will be required to maintain a semi-peaceful, or at least non-agressive relationship with the International Community. Member Nations will also be required to conform to all Resolutions passed by the Senate. Member Nations are encouraged, but not required, to become active voting members of the United Nations.
If you're interested, or require additional information, look me up and send me a Telegram.
We have a Regional Web Site (http://greatercalifornia.tripod.com ), which admittedly is rather unimpressive and low tech, and our forum sucks because it is also low tech, but anyone willing to contribute to the site, or even host one which is better/higher-tech will be greatly appreciated and recognized.
With Sincerity,
President Bennidor Ponde,
The United States of Wilhelmar, and the Regional Senate of Greater California

Our region is modern tech and encourages wide diversity of ideals. It is not another nation's concern or place to judge how you run yours and vice versa. We have an external board and a map, as well as \relations with three other regions.
