One of the oldest regions in Nationstates, a region to equip you with the necessary experience to play the game.

What has England got that others haven't?

*Joint longest serving delegate in the history of the game.
*One of the largest non feeder regions.
*An online forum:
http://s3.invisionfree.com/England/index.php?act=idx
with over 18.400 posts.
*peace and prospertity, but a new revitalised army headed by our elected cabinet members. Why don't you join up now!
*Forever opening new embassies with other regions, exceptional relations and high standing in the world.
*An active messageboard with rarely a message over a day old.
*Genuinely make friendships using our forum or messageboard.

What do we expect from you?

*A strong willed character.
*A decent commander for your nation :)
*A friendly person
*The ability to debate, but not personally offend someone to the point of upset.

AS you can see pretty much anyoneis welcome and in all my years as Delegate I have removed only 3 people for spamming...we value freedom of speech!

Join today and receive a personal welcome from our regional cabinet members and the other nations in the region :)

And don't forget, you don't have to be English to live here! A signifigant proportion of our members are citizens from elsewhere :)

England's Regional Update
28th March 2005

Current Population: 193
Current Delegate: His Majesty

Events this month:
The population has grown enormously this month, with a peak at over 200 nations. Thanks go to Leetuania, Minister for Immigration, and the various civil servants aiding him. The target is set to over 250 which is our previous best from last year.

Delegate elections are taking place for the first time. Manifestos have been laid down and the candidates are currently answering questions posed by nations on the forum.

The Cabinet have been discussing our alliance with the ASE in regards to them joining the federation known as the Delian League.
South Shields has been appointed ambassador to 10000 Islands and Rayers II was appointed ambassador to the United Kingdom and London. Simooooo has extended his ambassadorial role to include Dun Eideann, USK and City of London.

In the English Stock Exchange, the higest climber this month was The Broab's 'Look Around You Films' (LAYF) due to their worldwide release of the highly anticipated, "The Passion of the Broab". LAYF's shares now stand at an impressive £27.96. The biggest drop this month was from Kratauria's'Krataurian Clean Energy Corporation' (KCEC) who suffered as large loss of £9.68 this month.

England welcomes Glen Cragmorre, Greccovia and Hypocriscia to the boards.
England is currently discussing an alliance with the USK, although nothing concrete has been agreed upon as yet.

The ever-popular 'What comes next?' thread has continued to be inundated with spam, I mean, a truely entertaining story

In the Allied British Isles, Ireland has left the alliance. However, activity is still strong and the Council are continuing to operate effectively.

UN voting:
"International Court of Justice" - 2 For - 8 Against - 0 Abstain
"Universal Library Coalition" - 4 For - 0 Against - 0 Abstain
"UNWODC" - 7 For - 0 Against - 1 Abstain
Repeal "Education For All" - 3 For - 1 Against - 0 Abstain
"Right to Self-Protection" - 3 For - 2 Against - 1 Abstain

A new issue update is being sorted for this month, but here is just a small taster as to what England is currently like :)

Having stayed in England since I began playing in NationStates before moving into Haven for RP'ing reasons, I can assure all viewers that England is a fantastically friendly region with a really welcoming feel, some brilliant and eccentric characters and a great Delegate to boot.

Joining England is not a decision you will at all regret, I can assure you.

I too spent a long time in England before moving away to my sisters region, then moving onto another region etc.... and can reiterate Skinny87's claims that this really is a friendly, fun region. Just don't get involved in any Israel debates, you'll be hopelessly outnumbered if you're pro ;) :p

Hey, posting 2 minutes before me is not allowed :p

Again thank you Sanctaphrax, I've heard you made a fine delegate yourself elsewhere. Your right about the Israel topic, it did spark a good "debate" ;)

If any members of the Nationstates world wish to contact or join England, have any queries or generally make friends then telegram these nations to see how great we are here.

Resine (a joint admin member on our forum) is also compiling England's long history which I'm assured will be available soon for everyone to read. But don't just read about our history, come and make it.

Join England today, for a better, brighter world.

Hey! I want to be Minister of Randomly Dropping in Unannounced! :p

And you're right, I was a delegate elsewhere. As to my success. *shrugs* Opinion is divided on the subject!

You can't win always with the popularity of a region, trust me :)
Although I hope I've been a good delegate these last few years!

What to come back to the flock Sanctaphrax?
