Alright, through experience I have correctly solved at least 5 Economy enhancing issues, yet my economy remains at the "powerhouse" level. Whats up?

Ive been confronted to this problem too. If a stat isnt at the highest when you create a nation, it will be very long and hard to raise it to the perfection. Most of the natiopns ive seen with an economy of all-consuming started with that stat.

Thats quite logic, in a sence. Its esay to change from mediocre to normal or good, but its hard and long to change from the ''full mega ultimate level'' to the ''full-mega-even -nmore-ultimate'' level.

Here's what I sugest, anyway, if you really want to raise your economy level:
-Burn poor people.
-Make poverty illegal.
-cut all taxes.
-abandon all sort of civil right, libberty, environment and happiness to make room for bigger and bigger poluting factories and giant malls.

Huh? Nobody starts at the highest level.

Really? Then how do you explain nations with Frightening economies and World Benchmark civil rights? Or people with Frightening economies and 100% tax rates?

Your political tunnel vision aside, it's perfectly possible to have most any kind of nation you want on this game, including economic powerhouses with equally impressive environments.

Tocrowkia: Some times it can be very difficult to move you rankings in any category. Most of the issues work on a sliding scale (ie: moving you towards a certain level) and if you're very close to the end level -- or beyond the end level -- the issue won't have much of an affect on you. I've been trying to raise my Civil Rights past 'Superb' for quite some time now with minimal success.

It can be frustrating, but eventually you'll make it.

I've found that, unless you start out that way, you can't get anything past "World Benchmark" and "Powerhouse" very easily. Example: Czardas has a "World Benchmark" Political Freedoms rating, and despite 2 issues to increase them, it doesn't increase at all. That may be practicality—if you go beyond World Benchmark for anything, your nation becomes extreme—but if you really want your economy to get up to Frightening, keep doing the economy increasing issues, and try some really drastic ones (such as getting rid of minimum wage laws).

It is in fact possible to start with overwhelming statistics... you simply have to start a nation doing exact choices for every nation... A friend of mine tried a few times, and he discovered what to answer. I tried it myself.

so yes, it IS possible to start with an anarchic state with all-conmsuming economy, widely abused political freedom and world benchmark civil rights. The fact is that since you are at the highest in every category, any issu you vote will eventually make your stats drop...

probably the theory is that the less social welfare you have, the more incentive people have to find work... and the more who are working, the more productive (overall) the country is... and the fewer non-productive people the gov't is wasting money on (negative return for investment).

I have little to no social welfare (i'd like to have more but I have yet to see a viable option as part of an issue...) and my unemployment rate is something like 2.5%... my per-capita income is in the mid-$40Ks

my economy's title is "Frightening"
