So I read my Acadianada description and it told me I have a barren inhospitable landscape. Is there a way to change that, perhaps through Issues and what not? Or can I edit the description from somewhere?
Or am I stuck with it?

If you choose more pro-enviroment issues the condition of your landscape will improve. For example, when you get the uranium deposit issue, pick the one that doesn't allow any mining operations at all. It's a blow to your economy, but your enviroment will become better.
Also, Acadianada, if you can't wait for the issue to come up, simply create a web page or a wiki describing your nation and its beautiful environment.
Note to moderators: However, it would be nice if there was a way to create terrain on NationStates. For example, a program that allows you to create a nation, rule it however you wish, and design its terrain. Probably just wishful thinking on my part, though.

Mining is the worse culprit in ruining your environment. Make sure to not allow mining for Uranium and you should be ok.
