To those who still care...

Crazy girl

I quit actively playing the game, at least for now. Please reduce my access on all offsite forums to the basic access.

I have my reasons for this, some personal, but something that happened in the game pulled me over the line. Some of you already know what it is.

I'll still be hanging out here and there for chat, but I won't be playing.

It's unfortunate to hear you say this. Hopefully you'll change your mind, later. From what I've seen, you're a good player, Crazy Girl. :)

We didn't really talk too much in IRC, or interact in the game often, but from what I could tell, you were a very nice person, and you knew a lot about this game. It's sad to see someone of your caliber go... and I hope you do return. :)

I'm rather stunned to hear this CG.

Dearest, who will be the ever present Ying to the Yang that is the PRP/NPO? Then again I understand all too well scrutiny. Shame to lose you, despite the title I'm sure there's some who still do care. Musn't be so dramatic, we still adore you in our singularily unnatural way!

Don't be afraid to stop by.

Although I never really interacted with you here, I am always sad to see one more person leave NS, especially someone who has really been active in the game.
I hope that someday, if I leave this game, there will be as many people sad to see me go as there are for you. It is apparent that you hold great respect within NS, and I hope that this is also true in the real world for you. I expect that it is so, and yet I hope that you come back soon.

Crazy Girl is one of my friends in and out of NationStates.

The news that something in-game has caused her to leave the ranks of this online game saddens me and dissapoins me. What has this game come to everyone?

Within the In Character confines of the game we fight side-by-side on what we consider the good side of the invader/defender scenario. We defend together, as a team and we share in the glories of victory and the agony fo defeat.

Within the Out of Character confines of the game, CG is a trusted friend and confidant. I can't tell you the times she's been there for me in my times of need on IRC and on instant messengers; I can't tell you the times she's been able to put a smile on my face, encourage me to do my best or snap me out of doing something incredibly stupid.

CG and I live an ocean away. I've never met her in person nor have I talked to her on the phone. Hell, I don't even know what she looks like though she knows what I look like, and I still consider her one of the greatest benefits of my time on NationStates: I've made a friend in her, and to me, that's greater than any in-game victory, cause or concern I can dedicated my time, too.

You know I wish you only the best in the world, CG. I have your back, like you've had my back since our friendship began. I wanted to share this with the NS community, because I truly feel my heart has lost a bit of its investment in this game with the loss of your fellowship within the IC part of the game.

NationStates: No matter what side of the game you play or what cause you fight for, you truly are losing a wonderful person and player. Now, tell me, is in-game squabbles and purposeful actions of hurt OOC really worth that?

If anything good has come to me from playing NationStates, it is gaining you as a friend. Your presence "in character" will of course be missed, but I look forward to continuing our "out-of-character" friendship. Cheers, CG. :)

Damn, I go away for a bit and nothing's the same when I return... well this sucks, I don't even want to know what made you leave... already I miss talking to you on IRC and MSN (my fault for not being around).

seagee, you're one of my oldest friends on this site, and I hope we'll still get to talk at least a bit in the future. I'm not happy to see you go but this game ends up taking its toll on practically everyone... argh... well, best of luck in RL with your studies and your hamsters.

I heard a lot about you CG and what a wonderful person you are. It's easy to see that, even through the thoughtless comments of sometimes disgruntled invaders. I hope that whatever you're going through works out, and that you at some point find time to rejoin the game. Or maybe you'll decide not too. Your presence as a defender, as an opponent, and as a genuinely wonderful person is going to be missed. Yes, even by those on the other side. Good luck with life. And know that whatever in-game incident occured to make you want to leave, more care and are touched by you being here than you could possibly know.
*hugs* I wish you well.

It will surprise a lot of people that I would come to post something on a thread like this. Anyone who knows anything about the ADN knows that the arguments Crazy Girl and myself (and Brachycardian Cavemen and Xha'dam, to name our respective tag partners, hehe) were legendary. She and I didn't and don't trust one another, even though we're both meant to be on the same side of the line.

It came as a surprise to me then, when I added her to my MSN Messenger account, to realise that this girl who so infuriated me with her block-headed lack of logic on the ADN forums (please forgive the shameless POV) was actually an intelligent, interesting and charming person when we weren't thrusting and parrying according to the rigours of in-game debate. We talked about everything from her caring for animals at a sanctuary to my love life...as dysfunctional as that can be at times, hehe.

I am genuinely sorry to see CG leave NationStates. A game such as this requires characters of all sorts. There are some I would take great pleasure in seeing driven off - but this girl isn't one of them. Far from it. A toast then to Crazy Girl. We'll miss you; those who come after have big boots to fill.

So sorry to see you go, Crazy Girl. You're definitely one of the greats of NS. This game can get really frustrating, especially when one is heavily invested in it so I can understand where you're coming from. Hope you feel better about the situation and come back soon. Meanwhile wishing you reams of fun with RL now that you're not glued to the computer constantly refreshing the screen . . . LOL.

Take care. Relax. And come back soon. You'll be missed big time.
