The Great Directory of Regions

What the heck is this?
After seeing numerous attempts by various region recruiters, I've finally decided that despite all this, there is no single thread (to my knowledge) that details all the regions and what they are used for. I have seen threads pop up aimed for new nations wishing to get in on what Nationstates has to offer.

You want to wage war? We've got that covered.
Join an Alliance? Got that too!
Become a pinnacle of democracy? Got it!
Become technologically centered? Same as above!

Trust me, just about anything you can think of, already exists. If not, then by God, you've figured out yet another wonderful possibility for a region! So start it up, then tell the world via The Great Directory of Regions!

So, without further ado... here we go! I give you the great list of Regions for Nationstates!

The regions shall be detailed as follows:Roleplaying/Non-Roleplaying; Type of Region (Invader, Defender, Feeder, etc) and a sub-classification (Invader-character roleplay, Alliance-nation(as a whole) roleplay). You get the idea. If you wish, you may submit a SHORT description (like, no more than what this paragraph is in size) of what your region is based upon.

Also, if you have a link to a region signup thread, give that to me and I'll add that in! If you provide a link, then use that to describe your region. It'll keep this thread clean.

Heaven On Earth:Nations here are reality based nations. Any extreme nations that are not practical and could not exist in today's world will be banned. If you want a stable, sane, and practical region, Heaven on Earth is the place for you.

It has been brought to my attention by several different others that attempts at this kind of listing has been done in the past, and a few have been quite successful. Yet, they are all subject to age, and thus they become outdated. However, some still are being kept updated.

Once again, we welcome you to the wonderful world of Nationstates!

Am I the only one to see the value in this type of thread??

I think its a fine idea, and applaud you for taking the initiative.

You can add my region, "Principality of Zeon" to the list.

It has no set type. It's a whatever region. Just do what you want as long as you support me for UN Delegate so I can represent the region as a whole and make everyone happy.

I have been informed that there has been a previous attempt to create such as list as this. However, I have reviewed it and have noted three things:

1) It's in the archives. Thus no new posts can be done.
2) It was created in January 2003, the last post was in December 2003.
3) It's time for a new update anyway :)

So, come on y'all, give me your region's information. I plan to make this a more informative thread about each region, so that new nations (and old ones too) can browse and find one that fits them, or simply to learn about the regions.

Now that I think of it, you might also want to note that Principality of Zeon is in outerspace and is comprised of a network of space stations.
