Need help...
Ok. I have a country. Now what?
How can I become a UN member?
How can I increase my population?
How can I...everything else?
Thanks for your time.

You can aply for UN membership, just follow the link 'United Nations' on the left in your nation board(Remember, Aplication takes a day).
Population increases automaticly, first with numbers between 1 and 6 million, later it will constactly increase with 6 million a day.
Just answer the issues, you'll see your nation go from a democarcy to a dicatorship or even anarchy. If thats not enough get into the game of invading and defending regions or start Roleplaying on the forums.
Anything alse needs to be clarified?
On invading:
I move to another region, and then?
On defending:
If someone else move's to my region what do I do to defend it?

To invade: get a bunch of nations together, all move into the same region and elect one of you as the regional delegate. BE CAREFUL: there is a thread in Moderation with some of the rules on it, and these are subject to change; you don't want to incur the wrath of the Mods by getting things wrong.
To be honest, I don't know that much about Invading/Defending, someone else had better expand on this

If you allow immigrants in (especially without turning them into slave-labor or making the process a TV show), it picks up your population faster.
Markreich is proudly not a UN member. :)
Also, these other sites will give you information on your nation:
http://www.sunsetrpg.com/nsxmlparser.php
http://www.nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/
Note that the stats won't match on both sites, they compute things slightly differently.
Thanks. Now it's starting to make sense.
Anything not covered in the game itself; eg. war, trade etc.; can be carried out in the International Incidents or Nationstates forums. They may look daunting, but they really aren't that bad. We don't bite. You have promise, mainly because you can type without writing omg ub3r1337 pwnage n00kz!!!!11111

if you want to invade, join a group of invaders. you and the others in your group move your un nations to another region to grab the delegacy.
defenders (like my army, click the link in my signature! :p ) move to a region which is under attack by invaders, and stop them by, most of the time by endorsing the native delegate.
