The Free and Careless Peoples of Blender Well, invad-- defenders, have fun with your new region. To be honest, I was corresponding with Bilog and almost resigned from the UN to allow him to take control of the region, but you guys were too quick for me.

I was here in this region a few months ago defending it at the request of its former delegate SlowRoll against another invasion. Will Rogers Turnpike is correct -- another means to protect the region from future invasions could be employed (and not by having what WRT said was "having standing armys of defenders" present).

I am quite experienced in that method and can help.

Ballotonia

With the assistance of the ADN, the EAA, and the Pacific Defenders, North Carolina has repulsed a series of invasions. Many thanks to these fine organizations, and to the natives, whose firm resolve helped us to weather these storms.

A combination of fine intel work, the speedy arrival of allies, and my own vigilance has allowed me to eject many of the invaders within minutes of their arrival. I have passworded the region, and have supplied all the known natives with such.

We still may have a couple of moles, but we can deal with them if they surface, and we now have defensive agreements with several Defender organizations should they be needed again.

That being said, we, as natives of North Carolina, should seek to actively recruit carefully vetted nations to help build up our power base for the future.

I see nothing I can add. I am creating a private forum for we North Carolinians. Updates soon.

I would like to be contacted upon the completion of NC forum, so I can set up an embassy...and discuss alliance making.

I am quite happy to announce that North Carolina has been refounded by me, formerly the Acting UN Delegate for the region. We are free for all to enter, but beware, I have no social life and will be monitoring for invasion. Have a nice day!

I was the first NC resident to move back after Antidepressant Users refounded. For what it's worth, I intend to be around for quite a while. While I have no particular desire to be refounder, I'd be glad to cooperate with any native refounders.

BTW, Xataloniare, arriving yesterday from the feeders does not make you a native.

Well, even though I might not now "live" in NC...I'm still a Tar Heel born, Tar Heel bred, and when I die, I'm a Tar Heel Dead (Rah Rah Carolina-lina)...

Southern Girls is taking the lead with this, much as antidepressant users did last time. Both times I've been working as support and doing what I can. She's the one in charge of the refounding mission. She's been a great member of the NC community and I think would be a great region leader. If she wants it, she should have first dibs on it. If she wants me to take it, I would be honored. I chose not to take it in the last refounding because I was moving then, and while it was fun playing region master and booting lots of people during the multiple invasions, I didn't have the time for it.

Southern Girls will be a terrific leader for the region. Defer to her wisdom.

And I really miss Bojangles for the record...the worst part of not being in NC...

Antidepressant Users hasn't responded yet to the plea to come back to the region. We propose we resume the refounding in a week if we have not heard otherwise. This region should not become a battleground again, and yet there's potential for it. Let's be ready to refound again if ADU does not come back. Southern Girls, since they proposed the initial refounding when ADU peaced out, should be offered first rights to lead it, but if declined, Slowroll would gladly take the lead with this one. We've led the region before the initial refounding, we've been here for a while, and we're consistently in the top 10 in the world for cultured countries.

RESOLUTION by the STATES of NORTH CAROLINA

WHEREAS, the beverage Cheerwine is widely recognized as perhaps the most splendid soft drink in the history of the world;

WHEREAS, Cheerwine was developed and is headquartered in the fair city of Salisbury, North Carolina;

WHEREAS, Cheerwine has become a symbol of everything to do with North Carolina;

WHEREAS, the States in the Region of North Carolina seek to adopt a symbol of regional pride;

HENCEFORTH, Cheerwine shall be declared the official drink and an official icon of the Region of North Carolina, and listed as such on the regional home page.
