in my puppets its the Animal and the currency is the Credit

Khwarezmia's is the Orange Dwarf Yeti. 4 foot of flourescent orange fur. Quite friendly really, until you piss them off. Then they become 4 four foot of flourescent orange rage, even a Vastivan Polar Bear would have trouble stopping one. Trouble is they travel in packs...

How do you piss them off? Well no one has lived to tell the tale...

Kelleda's national animal is the howling mantis. For those of you that haven't ever played Fallout, imagine a praying mantis. Now imagine it coming up to your chest. And shrieking. And wielding razor sharp forelimbs.

And the currency, of course, is the bottle cap. (Not much in the way of favor for those New Reno chips everyone in NorCal takes, thank you very much.)

In our forests live many specimens, from Tyrannosauruses to Siamese Cats, but we Lap Landers are proud to say that the Stoned Reindeer is the best life form nature has ever nurtured.
We even used its horns as currency back in our middle ages, now of course nichel is used for money but the name remained.

At any rate, mine is the Red-Tailed Hawk.

The cabbit. It's a rabbit cat hybrid that possesses the abilty change both into a rather furry humanoid and a large, quite powerful, spaceship. (do a google image search)

Besides wolverines and humans, there are other species that kill for entertainment. Cats and circus clowns also kill for fun.

My national animal is the rudolph giuliani (these are actually tiny clones of the former mayor of New York who have been genetically altered by the ruling archbishop of my nation, The Theocracy of Personal Urges, in order to make them both mute and sexually promiscuous. :eek:

I think that even though the information is there, this thread gives players a bit insight into why other nations choose their national animals. :)

I remember when I had a resolution on the UN floor and a nation sent me a telegram explaining that their dogs were trained to eat my nation's owls! I looked and sure enough they had a breed of dog listed as their national animal.

I just sent back a note saying that my nation was going to cut off their supply of owls, but it was perhaps the funniest random telegram I've had in a year.

mine is the turnip, a stupid, almost immobile animal that buries it's head in the sand most of the time. Like an ostrich, only needs a shot-putter to make it go faster when the fancy takes it.
