When you're not in the UN and want to invade another country make sure someone of the Bush family is head of state, just ignore international community and start invading! Always works!
EDIT: even works when you're in the UN!

You can't 'actually' invade anywhere, it's not in the Game Mechanics. What you can do however, is roleplay any scenario you want right here on the NS forums. :)

The UN in Nation States does not conform directly to the UN of the Real World, and as such - is not bound by their ethics. To the best of my knowledge, the NS UN has not passed any legislation outlawing War, but check out the UN section of the forum.

However, most of the people who RP on these boards are fairly experienced (but that doesn't mean they don't like teaching newer players the ropes) - and they expect an attack to be well thought out, not totally n00bish, and to have a plan to it.

Eg.

If somebody posted something in the International Incidents like this :

I KILL ALIGNED PLANETS :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: HAHA - THEY'RE ALL DEAD!! :sniper: :sniper: :sniper: MY NUCLEAR WEAPONS HAVE KILLED THEM ALL!!

then that person would not only get ignored by me, but by the entirety of the International Community.

There are plenty of topics in and around International Incidents which may help - check them out :)

Invading and defending comprise of the same sort of game mechanics.

You move a UN nation, usually several from different players, into a region and endorse a given "lead," from there, you wait until update to see who has the most. Whoever has the most, is the UN Delegate, and if the "invader" side "wins," then, they become UN Delegate and have "control" of the region. Defenders can thwart the attempt of the so-called invaders by either endorsing the native delegate, native UN member-nation, or other defender lead.

If someone were to invade my nation (i've agreed before hand that this is ok) and i estimate that 1 million civilians were killed. Can i change this on my nation or is this just assumed?

It's assumed.

Keep in mind, there are a whole bunch of rules regulating that...

Well, of course, I was just giving the game mechanics behind that aspect of gaming here on NS.

Whoa... This thread is confusing because peopel keep going back and forth between role-played invasion and in-game invasion. However, I think Nevigrad means in-game invasion as he is specific to the United Nations.

I know you can invade other countrys when your in the UN but when your not can you?If you can how, thanks.

But just to be sure, can you clarify Nevigrad. Are you role-played invasion or in-game invasion?

Do you just send in a bunch of nations that are in the UN? I mean, like what if you wanted to invade another region, but you wanted to keep your nation where it was? Could you create new nations to go do that?

You can have multiple nations, but you can only have one UN nation. You can send your one UN nation to invade another region, and keep another non-UN nation in a region you want to still hang out in. You have to find other players who are into region crashing to do game invasions.

Which is not too hard these days...

That's such an awfully broad question...can you specify?

well i just signed up. i know you can answer questions in the issues, and you can upload a flag, and you can not actually invade unless you join a group. does that narrow it for you?

Many people would consider the forums to be a vital part of the gaming experience...

You can't region crash without being in the UN, and having a bunch of friends/region-crashing nations/random people in the UN. They can't be you, as you can only have one nation in the UN, if you have more than one the mods will delete you.

If none of your nations are in the UN, you can't personally invade a region. You could still be able to coordinate a regional invasion, though.

Even if you are in the UN, most regions' delegates have multiple endorsements from UN nations... you'd still probably need to find a group.

It's not possible to invade a nation in the mechanics. That is solely RolePlay.
