Wuvvies - the best forums, imo, to check out are the Gameplay and International Incidents. Don't jump in and post anything straight away - but look and see what other people are posting and try and get the hang of it. Try and join in a couple of topics that are just starting (and appeal to you) once you know what you are doing.

Most importantly - have fun, but don't upset other people in the process!

Oh, and Wuvvies, as I recall you've already found the IRC channel and as you know if you have any questions or concerns, that is where to go and with any luck you'll quickly get an answer ( should you need to know in a hurry, and you can't find something in all the text material to cover it, ;) ... !

Aye, the mIRC channels are good, but I don't use them that often tbh.
I've always found all the information I needed on the forums :)
