Howdy!

As a longtime resident of the region of Texas and an Official Goodwill Ambassador, I would like to invite you to take a look at our region, and see if you might want to mosey on over. You don’t have to be from Texas in real life to join us. We welcome anyone from the world over regardless of nationality, race, and if you don’t believe me you can just ask our residents from the British Isles and The Netherlands. As the recently appointed Founder and longtime Regional UN Delegate, NewTexas, likes to say, “Texas is a State of Mind.”

Texas is a very large region of about 250 nations that has a lot to offer newer nations and older nations alike. We have RP sports, an excellent Space Program; we have quarterly elections as per the Texas Constitution (http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index.php?showtopic=268), we are active in the UN voting process, and even played host to the United Nations Space Consortium from its inception until very recently on our offsite forum (http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index.php). We like to joke around and have unusual parties, and we are allied with the regions of Wysteria, The Heartland, and Nasicournia. There are no wars in Texas, which is also a policy written into our Constitution.

So come on down and join in the Never Ending BBQ (http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index.php?showtopic=1177) down in Texas! I hope to see you there! Thank y’all for your time.

Texas is currently restructuring its forum and is in the process of opening up many new Consulates for facilitating relations with other regions. We have cool seals for each of the departments now too!

I've been looking over Texas for some time and it seems like a great region. It's a lot more active than the other regions I've been in lately. I might join up.

For those of y'all that don't care to move to Texas, but like to socialize, there's a Texas Visitor's Ranch (http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index.php?showforum=12). Come on down.

It's that time again! Texas continues to improve with an amazing map, a store and bank and donations system, and a couple of cool new features coming out soon.

But as always, the real fun is hanging out with some of the friendliest, funniest people in NationStates. Whether you like to socialize, participate in regional government, RP, defend, write UN proposals, or anything else, you'll do it in good company down in Texas.

Already got a nation there; dreadfully underused, however. Yo HotRod, if you can guess which Texan puppet is mine, you get an extra-special diplomatic visit from my hot (if I do say so myself) vice president. And no cheating by looking at my puppet-related contributions on off-site forums, either. I am deleting all relevant posts as we speak.

Hmmm...I don't have a puppet in Texas. Terrible oversight on my part. I'm going to have to rectify that.

And now a quick break from The Puppet Show for a word from our sponsors...

There's something new coming to Texas...what could it be? We already have so many cool things to do, it's hard to imagine. Unless you're already in on the secret.

Check out this page (http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index.php?showtopic=2755) in the Texas News forum for updates.
