Well, recently we've just moved to a new off-NS forum, and have decided that we need some more active members, hence this post.

Some of you have probably heard of the New Commonwealth, and the majority of you have heard of some of our members - Hamptonshire, Preatonia, Witzgall to name a few. Now on to the stats of the region:

We accept anyone and everyone, and do not discriminate between government types or OOC personalities, though any indecent behaviour in the regional forums is taken seriously. Everyone there currently has a great time here. We have several departments, from Defence and External Affairs, through the Regional Founders department to Science and Finance. We have a detailed Constitution, plus several projects that anyone in the region can join in and help.

There is a place for members to place their storefront, giving them more control than here in NS, plus any member can run for the two elected council member positions. Entry is fairly strict, as you have to register, then make 5 ligitimate posts and be around for around 5 days, before your given access to the main part of the forum. This is mainly to prevent spies from entering our forum, and now especcially we're in the ADN. However once your in, you gain the benifits of the region.

Some of these benifits are being on the regional map, created by me, and allows members to see where they are in relation to each other - you get on my posting and asking for a piece of land, dictating where you would like it to be. Along with that, you gain membership to our regional defense network, the CDeN. This is a virtually impenetrable defense system around the nations on the map, that includes submarine nets, sonar webs, gun emplacements, stealth detection, regional GPS, missiles defence, Doujin-class ship defence and more.

We also have a regional website, that contains various pieces of information in the region, but most importantly holds the regional map. LInks are below:

Regional Website (http://www.freewebs.com/newcommonwealth/)
Regional Forum (http://s4.invisionfree.com/The_NC_Forum)
The New Commonwealth Region on NS (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_region/region=The_New_Commonwealth)

In addition we also have our very own IRC channel - when you've gained membership, you can gain access to the channel.

SO what are you waiting for, get on over and join up - you won't regret it!

I've been in The New Commonwealth for about four-five months now (lost track really) and have enjoyed every minute of it. Always fun, and well, they havn't kicked me out yet so they aren't that bad.

Go ahead and join, and just like P. said above, we are all government tolerant, and will allow almost anyone in if they need a fresh start, a new home, or some place to go to.

I've been in the New Commonwealth since its inception, and I've been with the group of people who founded it since my creation in April. I may have been cheated out of my Secretary of Foreign Affairs job in a recent redesign, but this is still the best region I have ever been a part of.

If you like nice, all-government accepting, and active players, I strongly recommend this region. We also help newbies, by my testimonial we do. They saved me from weeks of embarresment. :D

Hmm, it's that avatar thing, it's on their forum, too. Drew me in right away, then the RP kept me coming back! :p

Have people been responding to this ad? I've always wondered how many people look to the Gameplay forum for great regions such as TNC to move to.

;)
