Unlike the island of Roanoke, our region's people tend to disappear for a good reason. They were (most likely) criminals. Coffee is essential for survival. Democracy is somewhat restricted. Cheshire cats are sacred. Religion is not a key factor in anything. One of our countries has its own Inquisition. Spam is a beloved foodstuff. Did we mention that we're all absolutely, positively, marvelously mad here?
