So, when a nation approves taxes that aren't based on income (i.e. tolls to get on congested roads, tea taxes, etc.), does the nation's income tax rate go up or down? I've just got to know.

I think so, because the income tax in NS is just a general way of representing the levels of taxation by government, not the specific tax on income.
:headbang: I've been approving all these special taxes and tolls in an effort to lower income taxes!
