Hi... my first post in here and Im not sure if it is the right part of the forum... but how do I make/get a map of my region???... (know Im alone there but my friends joins tomorrow or so)

I've heard there are special map making programs for RPG GameMasters, but i'm working on my country map and i'll just use paint.

Well, you can't GET a map. You have to make it yourself. Thusly, this thread should be in NationStates or II. As to how to make a map, I couldn't really say. Hope this helps, and welcome to NS

Theres not really a set method for map sharing.... there not a map section, as far as I know. Attaching it using the attachment option at the bottom of the reply page would be the easiest way to use it in a RP thread.

To be clear: The NationStates game engine does NOT simulate maps or terrain. The only kinds of places are "regions" (abstract boxes which are occupied by nations) and the only kind of movement is nations moving from one region to another. Regions are only distinguished by their name, their World Factbook Entry, their occupants, and the Founder and Delegate (if either exist).

All references to maps in NationStates are references to roleplay, "make-believe". The NationStates game engine has no place for you to upload a map to. Any "regional map" is merely an informal collaboration of nations in the same region who collectively say "Hey! Let's pretend that we're not just items in a mathematically abstract set! Let's pretend that we actually occupy some land, and some ocean, and that it was a shape, and let's draw a shape, and let's host it on a website, somewhere!" You are welcome to do this... :) ...and many players have done this, but the NationStates.net game site will not host the map images for you. You'll have to use your own personal website, or some such.

Get a website or an account in imagehosting site. Then just make a map and upload it there.
