Maybe this is a NationStates 101 type discovery...but I've just noticed something about my nation.

Whenever I take a more socialist stance, and greatly increase healthcare and education funding, my GDP drops. Back when I had more tax cuts and emphasized on competition, not cooperation, my GDP per capita was about $6-7,000 higher than it is now ($21,382)

In addition, my unemployment rate was down at 4.67% back then...now it's 4.2% higher.

Hmm. Time for the Republican party to take power again...

My nation had a $39411 GDP! and 3.29% unemployment!

I think it would be possible in real life... after all, lowering tax might mean less moeny to give the businesses. Ie you tax them 50% of their profits and give them 40% back and then the opportunity to earn more if they are efficient (say up to 20%) and by cutting tax you may have removed that.

As for income tax... benifits could be proportional to income. Nowhere does it say that doesnt happen....

A 66% tax rate....

Its not quite that good now... but I will get it back up...

That's unnecessary in Gameplay forum. If you want to announce your obsession with our 'president', please do so--in General forum.
