Hmm, lets all share experiences and the dumb stuff we all did as newbies. :p Such as claiming to have 500,000 battleships, or nuking 3 billion population countries. (Not that I did that)

I thought I know more about temporal mechanics than IP, just because I watched a few Sci-Fi Movies.

I wrote a bunch of satirical telegrams to other nations about their national animals (RPing my nation as one very concerned with animal rights).

I also didn't know it was bad form to use your puppets in RPs, and signed up for AMF's "SkyNet." Got a good deal of the rest of my region to sign up, too... :D

I remember I once launched 12,000 nukes at someone when my country was just a day old.

I don't remember ever having any n00b stories. This is my third nation that lasted for over a month.

well, considering this is my 3rd day here, no, i dont have any noob stories. but my nation is surrounded by :gundge: and :sniper: so dont try to attack me! :)

theres one for ya. It would be logistically impossible to have snipers and other military units around your borders at all times. Unless of course you can keep up a military activation pay, and food supplies. Your economy would dwindle to nothing in no time.

I think I also multied a couple of times unknowingly, and even aruged with my boyfriend about whether or not it was legal. Not that the other nation did anything but sit idly in an empty region, anyway. Then I got serious about the game and read the FAQ. I also recruited like silly for 48 hours or something like that once. Back then personal recruitment messages weren't allowed (unbeknownst to me). After successfully recruiting over 50 nations in 24 hours, one of the people I sent a letter to complained and I got OMG WARNED (nicely). I then freaked out and dedicated my time to learning the rules inside out. :p I believe the warning was long enough and rule-outdated enough that it was voided awhile ago.

I also got a nice shipment of the finest wine from Nathi in my earliest days, which Hopians still sip on regularly. ;)

I was a quiet, reserved, scared-of-the-forums n00b until Poper here sent me a lovely recruitment telegram and got me actually involved in NS.

For awhile I thought about making 'enemies' and 'friends' with no middle ground. I soon learned that politicking here at NS requires a certain bit of, shall we say, moral flexibility...

I was never a 'goddamn godmodding newb' as so many seemed to be. When I started NS, near two years ago, I kept quiet and watched until I knew my business, but one 'ghost' I have is I used to pick alot of fights with smaller nations, not because I could win, but because they seemed to have alot of newbish friends who they would call, until I was thoroughly outnumbered. Winning against odds feels sweet.

It's been so long I can't remember any of the other nations names, but once I beat the piss out of like four nations who, though all smaller than I, vastly outnumbered me together. It was some of the best fun I've ever had here...

I miss the days of 250 million nations being the juggernauts

In my youth *hah* I once took over a country in two posts. I also sent 2,000 planes with no logistical support half-way accross the world. Ah the good old days. Over than that I have maintained a spotless record. I think.

I participated in the Great Spam Invasion of the NS forum by the Generalites, for those of you who have been around a while. (That was with my HotRodia account, BTW.)

Pantera: I recall speaking to you a long time back when I actually RPed on the NS forums instead of offsite. If I remember correctly, you were pretty good.

Unfree: You'll always be one of our favorite recruits. :) What a twist of fate, eh? I've been blessed to get to know you over the last year or so.

No. We were all issued "malicious intent to spam" warnings. The Modly Ones were not pleased. :D I was quite amused by it at the time, myself. I still smile when I think of it.
