Goontopia trying to manipulate the UN?

Goontopia appear to be creating numerous splinter regions so that it can have enough UN Delegates to push through any UN resolution in the UN. Anyone else heard about this? - my response to this was to set up the Anti Goontopia Alliance or (AGA) to stop the manipulation of the United Nations. Who wants their Region to be apart of the AGA?

The Commonwealth Alliance will join your cause to eradicate Goontopia as i have witnessed the brutality of Goontopia at first hand. They are suffocating world politics with their numerous regions, Goontopia1 ,Goontopia2, Goontopia3, Goontopia4 the list goes on.

They are trying to control International politics and i for one refuse to become part of a One World government run by the Goons!

1) This doesn't belong in International Incidents. This is a role play forum.

2) No one really cares about the UN here.

I thought the UN was roleplay

Unless we actually control the UN here at Nationstates...

OOC: The UN is just pressing for or against on meaningless resolutions. I suppose they are meant to affect RP, but in all honesty, have you ever seen any instance in which they have, besides AN messing around with nuclear siloes?s

Providing Goontopia don't use UN multies, this is a valid way of playing, especially as it's gonna take one heck of alot of nations and regions for it to work.

Meh, I have no problem with them.

Admin has ruled this practice legal under NationStates rules.

...

That's like a bunch of drops of water plotting to manipulate the ocean. Proposals (at the moment) need 132 approvals to reach quorum. They would need 30 Delegates to be significant (150 Delegates to be completely effective) on the global scale. Besides which, they still need the proposals to pass once they're on the floor.

I'm not terribly worried.

The SomethingAwful.com forums have 40,000+ members. It would be a trivial matter for them to utterly dominate the game if more than a fraction of them noticed NS. :)

"At least nations" being the correct assessment...I think that both Hack and [violet] have given an estimate on actual individual players before, and there were quite a number of puppet nations in that count.

35-50% nations are puppets, Hack said. And even at 50%, that give us 50,000+ nations, which is more than SomethingAwful.com forums :D
