Brief Guide to the Dominion / Presys ot Domynon
Officially free from UMS occupation in July 2004, the Dominion of the Shambles, or Shambolique in the national language, are a sprawling set of medium and large islands in the Pacific region.
Each island has generous ability of self-determination and autonomy, with directly elected councils for each of the respective districts. A national parliament - the Senate - has been suspended since invasion. At present, a panel from across the mainstream parties makes most of the national decisions but elections are postponed until further notice.
There are five islands in the group, and eleven districts with one for the nation's capital Makedon. The regions are - Albanija, Banc, Sant Gregor, Sant Ostyn, Savique, Hesketh, Tripoli, Flád, Ygli Tent, Ságren and Makedon.
The national language, Shambolique, has been under considerable strain during the occupation and the bizarre push for a form of English to be made the only legal tongue.
Due to time constraints, news and events from The Shambles/Shambolique will not be full or too detailed, but updates will be presented when possible on, amongst other issues, the modernisation of a nation as it follows independence; the planned elections; growth in national self worth; conflicts and regional issues.
