A new look at war

it maybe my first day here on NS and i do like roleplaying as much as anyone else but is war just decided on simply thinking and saying what happens? if i am wrong please correct me on how war is handled on NS but i have an idea. if you want to declare war on a nation by all means you can and how a victor is decided can be as unique and creative as you want it. if the nation you declare war with plays an online RTS perhaps you can solve your differences there. If country A invades country B perhaps the outcome can come out from a friendly skirmish of Rise of Nations (my particular favorite rts at the moment). For those who do not own these rts's or perhaps prefers a more traditional approach why not decide on the outcome of war the old fashioned way with a good old game of chess. Chess is a great game of strategy and requires great thought and a cunning brain what better way to test your abilities as a leader. you can challenge the other country via an online chess game of some sort. well thats just my idea if there is a completly different way to resolve war on NS please inform me or if you have other suggestions please post.

I've never really been involved in war for that reason that it is so vague but this idea of chess seems like a good idea i would support - being that I dont own Rise of Nations.
