Is it possible to change the industry your Nation specializes in? I want to get into such things as Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology, but It says my leading industry is... Furniture Restoration.
Any tips?

It's all in your issue choices - select issues that encourage Arms Manufacturing (think pro-military) and Information Technology (pro-computing), and discourage Furniture Restoration (if that's possible).
