To those of you who are just starting to figure out how to run your own nation/government, I ask that you join the "COATO" region to become a voice in international democracy.
Here are some ideas and good reasons to jump on board:
UN mob-rule:
Too many minority governments are not being heard by the international community. This cripples international democracy and any republic thereof. Further more, many of us have just become nations and have never voted for or against a UN resolution. Therefore, many unique governments will shy away from UN support because, a vast majority of UN resolutions have become old, useless, and out-of-date since the game and the people are evolving. We must end the mob-rule that the UN tends to cater to, and give more power and a louder voice to minority governments.
Regional Minority Delegates:
Since this is a new region, a refreshing approach would be to give "COATO" minority delegates, spokespeople to over-rule mob opinion.
Fairness, Democracy:
If a UN resolution is preposed, the UN delegate of the region of "COATO" will send a telegram asking each nation if they wish to vote for or against the particular resolution. There will be a vote carried out. However, the majority won't weigh down minority opinion. Instead, there must be a captivating argument for or against any particular resolution. Minorities and minority delegates in the region will be heard if they are able to grant five sensible reasons why they are for or against a particular resolution, or they can totally hault a vote on a resolution all together. Same goes for repealing UN resolutions.
