just wondering what all the 30+ pages of guns are about. Can you buy things? If i buy insurance or weapons, does that increase my country's stats in those areas? or is it just aroleplay thing? Rather confused at this point. Say they pass a resolution in the UN declearing whale hunting illegal, does that affect my nation in a code-computergame level or a social, online roleplay level?

all the crap about guns is roleplay, it won't effect your nation's description. The UN is different, that is part of the main NS game, not the forum. So if the UN passes a resolution against whale hunting and you're a part of the UN, then your nation will be effected (I think).
