Hey, I was visiting other people's nations and a few of them had the blue rectangle saying they were UN members. How do you become part of the UN? And what does it do for your country (if anything)?

You can join the UN by selecting the "United Nations" link from your toolbar after logging in your nation. Press the button that says "apply to join the UN". Make sure you have a valid e-mail address. You will get an e-mail which you have to visit the link it to confirm your membership. I think that's about it to get in. Keep in mind you can only have ONE NATION IN THE UNITED NATIONS!

As for what it does, you are affected by all UN resolutions. So if a resolution passes that cuts down business for the sake of environment, you'll likely see less business and more environment in your country. You can vote on resolutions and endorce other nations for delegacy.

Also it can be used for invader/defender purposes, where groups of nation attempt to take Delegacy of other regions.

However, be warned that you can only have one UN nation at any one time during the course of the game. It is against the rules, and you will lose your UN status, if you're found to be "multiing," which is what we call this violation.
