Does anyone know an easier way to make a map of your nation without using Paint?

The method I used was to make a random map in Alpha Centauri and take a screen shot. I then edited it in Fireworks to make the land masses more round edged and non-terrain. You can sometimes find people to help you.

That gave me an idea...you could also make a map in Civilization 3 and take a screenshot.

I went to check it out, only to see that the downloadable version (Free) doesn't save maps. Did you purchase this, or is there some way around it?

All you have to do is export the image.
