RP has zero effect on your nation. The only thing that affects it is how you answer issues.

NationStates can be played with zero RP. All you'd have to do is answer issues. The RP is for people who want more for the time they've invested in creating their country.

There's supposed to be a second version of the game that integrates RP more thoroughly and has more options for your country, but it is going to cost something nominal. That's mostly for the serious RPers and the avid NS person.

you can invade or defend (without RP-ing) with your UN nation ;)

Images are not enabled in sigs. Dunno what exactly you mean by your question. We don't have avatars here either.
