my economy is weak but I haven't been getting many economy-related issues. how can I improve it?

you just have to wait. ALso if their is an issue concerning the environment answer it so you don't protect it. Most likely your economy will go up.

If you join that region, or any region for that matter, it will NOT effect your economy, issues and issues alone will do it.

Well geez! By your civil rights, political freedoms, and UN category ratings you are a socialist (at the very least)! The SOCIALIST sytem is never good for business (aka the economy).

my government is libertarian. not socialist. that's why my citizens have extensive civil rights and political freedoms.

My government is socialist and I have a Reasonable economy, in the beginning the only issues that boost your economy are the ones that destroy the environment or violate civil rights. That's why my economy used to be Weak, but now I'm getting better issues that don't affect the environment but boost my economy.
