What now?

Ok I made a country, edited my settings, and responded to an issue.. suddenly I notice a distinct lack of activities to keep me occupied.

Am I missing something or does this 'game' really consist of only three things; logging in, clicking "accept", then closing the window.

It just seems oddly lacking, I realise it's supposed to be a game of politics but politics isn't just do one thing a day...

Well, you hit the basics. You can move into a region with friends and talk to them and stuff like that. Other than that, its pretty much a waiting game. You get what you put into it. :)

Unfortunately the 'game' (if you can describe it as that) is very primitive. Unfortunately the main body of game play relies upon these so-called 'issues' which start to repeat themselves with alarming boredom.

You can join the UN too - there's a whole lot of things that become possible then. Take a look at the region of Warzone Sandbox and you'll see what I mean.

NS isn't like a computer game with set goals - it's what you make of it.

Thankyou for the welcoming atmosphere to your replies.

Sirocco: When the site said "make your own country" I assumed there would at least be some basic economic and building controls with resources as I thought that was a basic element of any serious tactical game.

Ghidora: A waiting game it definatly is, I've just spent a while reading about NS2 and that NS will not be updated. As there is really only one thing to put into NS there's little to get out of it :-\

In conclusion, I doubt I'll stick around for a long time. I'll give the game a chance as it does appeal to me, at least the concept does, however I will not be joining NS2. If NS had more to offer in terms of strategic gameplay - not warefare but many more options - then I would give serious thought to paying for a better version. At least the Forum RP aspect of this game seems to thrive.

Have fun with the game, everyone, if I stick around I'll probably post quite often.

Yeah, the main screen of the game gets pretty boaring after a while. Thats why we all live in the forums. Its in the forums that everything gets fun. Thats also where you begin to develope a name for yourself and become a mor recognizable nation.
