Originally this part of the world was organized into a province called Aquileia during the days of the Great Cumaeans. After the Cumaean Empire declined sharply, long ago, its former provinces were ripe for conquest by other nations. The Caliphate of Toz'Aizhir swept through the region and their particular pronunciation reduced the province's name to Agaea, and the full name was Gaz Agaea, 'The land of Agaea' with its capitol city at Gaz Agaea Ura, 'The prime city of the land of Agaea.'
Over the intervening centuries, and after a series of revolutionary wars, Gaz Agaea became Khazig, and Gaz Agaea Ura became the capitol city of Khazigur. Throughout this time it has never wavered in its devotion to the Valentinian Principles of honor, self-awareness and a personal mystical communication with the Higher Archons of individual guidance.
