You can get Powerhouse by:

govt type: Conservative
questions: SD.SA.0.0.0.SD.0.0 (SD= strongly disagree, 0= no answer, etc)

govt type: Conservative
SD.SA.0.0.SA.SD.0.0

govt type: Conservative
SD.SA.0.0.0.SD.0.SA

I think Qaaol might have found a way to get All-Consuming economies. We'll see if he finds this thread.

Hm. Darn. My experiment gave me:

UN Category: Anarchy
Civil Rights: World Benchmark
Economy: Thriving
Political Freedoms: World Benchmark

That was Libertarian, SD,SA,0,0,0,SD,0,0

But, hey... that's another Anarchy for me, I guess.

Thanks for the help everyone! I've created a few experiment nations myself, only to get Thriving for the economy.

Since it is so hard to create a brand-new nation with an economic rating of Powerhouse or higher, then does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could improve my Thriving economy to Powerhouse or higher?

Thanks.

I spoke with Qaaol and he doesn't remember being able to start out with anything above Powerhouse. So there you go.

Since it is so hard to create a brand-new nation with an economic rating of Powerhouse or higher, then does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could improve my Thriving economy to Powerhouse or higher? It's not that hard, everything I said in my last post works fine.

Just choose pro-business options and if you don't care about your environment or anything else, you can rise pretty quickly.

Yup, that's what I've been doing. I can't think of one time when I didn't choose a pro-business option. But yet somehow I can't seem to rise higher than Thriving... :(

I wonder if your crime levels are holding your economy back? Can any mod tell us if crime rates affect economy?

The known economic boosters are the issues that deal with automobile manufacturing, eating your national animal(9), allowing corporations to donate money (17), using taxes to subsidize business, allowing corporations to operate monopolies (41), banning unions.
