My national animal is the Cypranian Rabbit. I named it that because I like Rabbits. And I've already used Cyprussian for my currency, the Cyprussian Euro.

The flightless hippo. Becuase I thought it sounded funny. My other possible choices were the lesser-spotted zebra and the neverending octopus.

The missing link because creationists always point to a lack of one. It is particularly funny that in my country it says "the missing link is teetering on the brink of extinction" because of deforestation. LOL.

Our nation's animal is the gay man. They like to frolick in the forests, especially the bushes.

A tiger.

I picked it because I wanted an animal that projected power and intimidation.

The Fiddly-foodle-bim-bam-boodle-diddly-doodle-oodle bird.

That doesn't all fit in the box when you create your country so I'm glad to have a forum to let everyone know about it.

The Dragon. It's big, eats most anything, looks beautiful.

The camel. We picked it because it is great for transportation, doesn't pollute the environment and they are just a great animal to be around in our country.

ailurus fulgens has the dentition and digestion of a carnivour yet is for all practical purposes a vegitarian by choice. ironic for a supposedly subsentien is it not? the term panda means eater of bamboo, or more specificly bamboo leaves, and the aluring refulgence is the glorious fur of these innofensive creatures, many of whome were once kept as pets in their native land. they are also called the wa, or in my own mind, the wise ones. though they are today endangered. but then aren't we all?
they symbolise, for us both an aesthetic and a dream. a hoped for mellowness. the stimulation of challanges that are not rooted in conflict.
endangered they may be, but against increadible odds they like us, have survived.
and done so while like truely enlightened spirits, endevouring to avoid causing harm.

The cabbit. One its an anime reference, two, its almost too cute to be allowed, three, it doubles as or navy/airforce, four, the adult humanoid forms are almost disturbingly sexy.

The Ferret - talk about a really cool animal. eats mice and will live in the crawl space, can be housebroken or learn to poop in a litter box. loves you like a dog will and is just all around intelligent. The best of a cross between dogs and cats with the coolness of originality and fun. (ever watch a ferret play with a tennis ball? You've led a deprived life if not).

The white wolf - Eh, why not. Snow is fun, and they can compete with the polar bears :P

The Owl is favored animal of our patron, the goddess Athena. So, of course, it is our national animal.

The carnivorous beaver. But if you don't know why, I'm certainly not going to tell you.
