Well, I just got ressurected today, and completely screwed things up. My economy was at powerhouse, and now I'm weak :(
Does anyone have any suggestions for answering issues correctly? I'm really put down over this. I've got a 1.225 billion population but a horribly weak economy and only a $3 trillion GDP compared to the $18 trillion I had before

Don't raise taxes above 70%, at that point, cut them a couple of times at the earliest opportunity.
Make industries of any type your priority, extend your support to them through subsidies, tariffs and the destruction of employee rights and labour relations when such opportunities appear. You can always restore civil rights later if you wish.
Avoid spending money on social programmes and the environment, always choose industry instead, or dismiss those issues to avoid increasing your tax rate. Save your tax breathing space for increasing subsidies, etc.
Since your nation is so big, it will have a lot of inertia, and it will take well over a month. Change your settings to 2 issues per day to speed things up.
Lastly, avoid UN membership. Sad but true.
