Well the blurb on the Gameplay forum says that here is where one debates why llamas are a cooler natn'l animal than squirrels. Guess I'll start this debate

Personally I'm for Llamas. They're a lot cuter than squirrels

I say the Llama is the better of the two even though the coolest animal that ever lived this earth would have to be the penguin because they;re so f***ing funny lol and the second would have to be the goat...

but out of the squirrel and the Llama the Llama definitely wins!!

that reminds me of a joke...What do you get when an elephant loves a squirrel......little pieces of squirrel EVERYWHERE! ;-)

I like Llama's, they got a better name :wink:

though squirrels do have their charm at times

My nation is led by the high council of 6 llamas and me so llamas are deffinently the cooler mascot.

Yeah it is brought up, dunno about the sticky, but its a bit of a laugh none the less ;)

I personally like liger. I'm fasinated by them. But if I had to choose, I'd say... Squirrels. I think it's cool how they do those arobatic feats just to get bird seed. I mean, come when was the last time tou saw a Llama do that. Plus more people talk to squirrels. Can any of you talk to llamas? I think not! So there you have it. That's why squirrels are better than llamas. But Ligers still rule the mascot animal world.

To be honest, I lmiss the thread wars days. We had a Llama thread, two squirril threads, an Eagle thread, and I think one other.

Ahh, the good ole days. I remember when Der Furher Dysel and I had the pic wars. Since he was fighting so furiously for the lammas, I defended the squirrels for arguements sake. Turns out he was defending the llams for the same reason.

It's funny though. When the place to discuss whether Llamas or squirrels was the beter national animal was NationStates I don't recall seeing many threads on it.

I considered asking for those threads archived but the mods said that the won't archive threads for anybody other than the starter unless the starter is gone.

A rather foolish rule I think, since very often the starter does nothing to the thread but start it, but ahh well.

At any rate, personally, I prefer things with wings and sharp beaks: parrots, raptors, archeopteryx(sp?), dragons, griffins, flying reptiles, etc.

Down with the mammiliocentric bias!!!

Squirrel!! they are soo cool and smart...
plus as an ex-team fortress classic player, i've almost always seen the word llama used in a negative way.

I personally like the squirrel better.
They are very light on their feet, I mean Llamas okay. :roll:
