According to this (http://alces.sel.uaf.edu/gregg/ns/nsmap.html) there is a nation type called Benevolent Dictatorship. I have never seen one, is it possible?

There are other ones on there I have never or rarely seen before, like: Libertarian Police State, Liberal Democratic Socialists, Iron Fist Socialists, Conservative Democracy, Authoritarian Democracy, Tyranny by Majority.

Yes, this is possible and has been reached before. It's just not very common.

Sure, a dictatorship can be benevolent. Some would argue a nation run by philosopher-kings would be the best.

As for the others, I've seen Iron Fist Socialists before, and I think I once saw a Tyranny by Majority. I would like to see a Libertarian Police State, because I have no idea how that would be accomplished--it'd be like having a Jewish Nazi State.

Ive got a friend with a Benevlolent Dictatorship nation.

In theory, they are better than democracies, because the person is trying to help their people in the same way as most democratic governments, yet they have the advantages of stability and efficiency. The only problem is what is this person's heir going to be like? It's only good right now which is why democracies are always better in RL.

Of course it is possible.
You see out mind is the Benevolent Dictatator of our Bodies.
It keeps the well being of the body in check and governs the intake of Nourishment.
without the Benevolent Dictatorial Government of our mind our bodies woutl lapse into Carnivorous activities consuming Meat and Fornicating at will.
Without the Mind the Human race would become a festering cesspool of GeNetic waste much like this steak.

Benevolent Dictatorship is actually rather easy to get (High military spending and outlawing elections both kill political freedoms, AND done, as long as you keep your civil rights up (excellent +)

Libertarian police state... had it, occasionally, but if you continue answering issues, it is almost impossible to keep that ranking for long.

Tyranny by Majority is by far the hardest to get, I have only seen one a single time. I`m currently attempting to get it with one nation, but... meh :/

No according to the survey done by Max a long time ago Free-Market Paradise is the rarest type. But that might not be true noww, but it is very hard to keep. You start off with an anarchy and build up your economy and you get one.

My nation has been a benevolent dictatorship a few months ago. My status before that was inoffensive centrist democracy. But I have no idea why my status has changed.

There's a Tyranny By Majority nation called Aamericaa in my region.

Basicly, Tyranny by majoritys, Benevolant dictatorships, Free market paradises and the like all have Personal Freedoms and political freedoms which are radically different from each other (IE: one very low, the other very high). So either the issues don't favour options which give you that polarity, or there aren't many players whos views swing that way.
