Capitalist Paradise leaders: philosophical disagreement?

What the title said. Our region is clearly meant for generally libertarian-minded nations, but even within that there have to be certain bits some see differently.

For example: I staunchly favor the "night watchman" interpretation of the State, but hold somewhat of a departure in the form of also being a believer in meritocracy. As much as possible, I feel that status is to be earned and not simply handed down. Now, I'm not saying to confiscate anything or engage in blatant social engineering, only that earned wealth should be recognized as more significant than inherited wealth, in the sense of the old "self-made individual" idea. A society can -- must, really -- consist of individuals unafraid to uphold certain standards, through free expression instead of force, and this is one the defense of which I would cheer. IMO. there's nothing commendable in being born on 3rd base and thinking you hit a triple, and that should be made obvious.

Add on if you wish. Who knows where it might lead?
