New Empire

Yep, it's here for me a lot faster than I expected to...
I first found this game on a message board. Hearing the stories, and having some knowledge of war, weapons, and politics, I joined and began watching others, learning how the game worked, and started RPing.
I had no idea what I was doing, really.
Sure, I could spell, didn't declare war on the world, or try to destroy the UN, but I got plenty of flak for my early attempts at weapons marketing.
So I waited, and decided to argue in General. Come late may, I had been in maybe 3 regions, and had a substantial population. I decided to go with a mix of modern and futuristic technology, and ran a short-lived, but respectable storefront. Around this time, I was also recruiting friends to the game. Sure enough, they came, and a few are still here today.
I then decided to move to a new region, The Allied Powers. Again, I wasn't sure what I was getting into, I knew barely anyone or anything about the balance of powers and alliances. This is when I really started participating in NS.
Within a few days, I had nations plotting attacks on me. I responded, and with my new reigon, eliminated the threat in less than a day of Real time action.
Fun, but not the best.
I started designing more weapons and selling them, and large amounts of people started buying. I never really liked storefronts, so I decided I'd hold myself to better RP standards than a lot of the things that happened here, and for anything, war, diplomacy, and trade. I hope people think I did that.
So over the course of the summer, I experimented with spacetech. Not fun, so I left. I then engaged in more wars, actions, meetings, and all sorts of other things. I tangled with everyone from Arcel to The Reich, some RPs clearly better than others.
I guess what I'm saying is that NS is maybe the most addictive webgame I've played. I met a lot of people, did a lot of things, and had a good time. Pretty good for an advertisement.
~NE's player.
And on a side note, I'd like to give a big thank you to the guys in The Allied Powers. Some of the best RPers on NS, and I've never been in a better region.
