Stated below are the various membership rights and regulations for all members of the Kophensiri Parliament in the Autocracy State of Kophensir. Some of these assizes only apply to higher members in the parliament, while others apply to the general assembly.
1. Parliament members are to vote upon any resolution or bill in the process of being passed. However, it is the individual's decision whether or not to actually vote. If the member does not, no charges are pressed against him; this is one of the many rights used to protect and maintain justice and freedom in the parliament and within the region.
2. The president of parliament of Kophensir has all rights to veto any bill and/or create a new bill. Only the president may write a bill or resolution for the general assembly to vote on. This special right is given only to the president and none other. Also, the president has the power to restrict any member's valid membership in the parliament. (He/she may "eject" any nation from parliament, but must first give a valid and good reason for doing so. This response must be heard by the founder of the region. (Pajir)
3. All parliament members must maintain a good profile and habits. Faliure to do so will ensure any member's "revokation" of membership by the president, region founder (Pajir), or the UN delegate at the time. Unexceptable habits include use of inappropriate language on the message board or to others, threats of any sort (like war or terrorist threats), or inappropriate action against others in the region.
4. Once a month, (usually the last day of any month), the region's nations must vote upon a new Parliamentary president. The candidates for the presidency will be chosen by Pajir (the region founder) and the nations will vote upon which one they think most suitable to do the job. Although Pajir has the power to chose the "final" candidates, other nations may simply go on their own campaigns. However, only "final" candidates (ones chosen by Pajir) will appear on the voting polls in the forums on election day.
5. Parliament controls the bank (all money, funding), welfare, and military of Kophensir. Every year, member nations must contribute 5% of their annual income to the Kophensiri parliament. The parliament (mostly the Royal Treasurer) will decide where and when the money will be spent and how much will be spent/saved. Without these generous amounts money, the parliament would be powerless and virtually useless in the region.
6. Parliament must meet (with the president and general assembly present) at least once a year. This is to ensure that the parliament is doing something useful for the good of the region and all peoples. (By "meeting", this term is really supposed to mean that the parliament or some members of it vote on at least one resolution per year.) Of course, usually more than one resolution is passed per year.
7. On New Year's day, the president of parliament (whom ever it may be) must make a "State of the Union" address to all nations on the regional message board. Failure to do so will result in immediate explusion from the the presidency. (He/she will remain a member of parliament.) The reason for this address is to tell the region of recent accomplishments and to give support and strength to all nations.
Members must abide by all rules to stay a member and maintain good stature in parliament. If you have any concerns, questions or comments, please contact Pajir.
