This region is a small Star Control based region, free of backstabbing politics and evil intentions!! Star Control was a small but popular PC/3DO game based around the galactic enslavement of sentient life by an insidious alien race known as the Ur-Quan. This regions attempts to provide a light-hearted RPG forum within this context

The following are simple roles & responisibilities that may benefit the region, but no one is under any obligation to participate but any volunteers would be appreciated.

The Founder (O R Z) - The gateway between this region and the rest of nationstates. Responsible for maintaining and regularly changing the password. Responsible for providing access to new members and ejecting nations who behave in a manner not fitting with the region.

[The UN Delegate (None As Yet) - Responsible for voting on the NationStates forum in accordance with the will of other regional members. Responsible for gauging the suitability of new applicants and passing their details to the Founder to be granted access.

Hyperspace/Quasispace Monitor (Splishi Splashi) - Responsible for providing up to date interstellar "weather" reports in this sector of space.

Recruitment Diplomat (ORZ) - To assist the UN Delegate in acquiring new nations to join the region or to make new friends in other regions and to act as mediator in time of intra/inter regional conflict.

((OOC: Although I am ignoring the lot of you in character, I must say that this seems quite unsettling indeed. Your group is splintering. First, you had only one region. Now you have at least three. But I guess it was inevitable, too many people with differing opinions about things and too many people playing the same species and all.

It is a shame that things have gone the way they did, and you're right it was inevitable I guess. I'm hoping that this region is a safe haven away from all the backstabbing and whinging.

((OOC: Hmm... You'd have to keep the relations separate and your nation would have to be, in a way, in two dimensions or whatchemmacallits at once. But I guess that for the Orz it wouldn't be a problem. I don't think that the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah would like to keep diplomatic relations with the Orz, unless they are very cold. I never said I'd stop ignoring the rest, since their very existence is 100% against the background story I made for this nation as stated in this thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=64217). Only the Arilou and the Orz would be able to get through the ignor-o-field, I guess.

The history of my region, huh? I've been there alone most of the time. There was one other nation, the Echeronians, who weren't related to Star Control as my Ur-Quan are NOT in the Star Control universe, even if they came from there. Then there are the Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah, who, unlike the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah of this nation, still follow the Eternal Doctrine. These Kohr-Ah are from the time after Sa-Matra was destroyed, but in a more Star Control 2-like style. To these Kohr-Ah, Star Control 3 never happened.))

I warned you all, didn't I? But nooooo... nobody listens to me... Oh well, you're all welcomed to Home Quadrant if you so choose. Of course, you'll have to be voted in, but I don't see any reason anyone would vote against a Star Control nation joining. Lost Chenjesu certainly won't.

Home Quadrant is a democratic region and nothing goes through without majority approval. I feel that Home Quadrant serves as a more active alternative to the New Alliance for those who want to participate in IC politics and trade.

The USC standard is intact and active in Home Quadrant so trade and wealth may be better measured. Though activity and interaction is encouraged in Home Quadrant it is by no means required. Nations which just want to do their own thing and not participate or communicate with the rest of the region will not be discriminated against, but The New Alliance may be a better place for them.

I just wanted to create a region where people can have fun and play together without fear of unfair treatment. I feel Home Quadrant is the realization of this goal. I'm not trying to destroy The New Alliance with this post, I'm just letting everyone know a bit more about Home quadrant.

No sweat Chenjesu, I see the "New Aliiance" as a sort of holiday resort! ;-)
If poeple want in-depth RPGing then Home Quadrant is clearly the region of choice. For relaxed banter for more 'part-timers' then "New Alliance" may be best.

Either way as ORZ and Splishi Splashi I hope to get the best of both worlds :-)

Sorry, I'm actually the nation "Ilwrath Vengeance" in the SC universe, the damn server seems to have put me down as one of my other nations. :x
