Standards - Time Ratio

Hopefully got this in the right spot, so here it goes.

Well, finally found what I plan to base my economy on(GDP and such). With some tweaks here and there and rounding up just to be safe. Even something to roughly base my military on.

Now, I've got a question. Whats a ussual time ratio used. How much IC time equals how much OOC(Real) time?

I've seen some people, at least it storefronts it seems, use both one real day equals one IC year or one real week equals one IC year. I'd think for playability issues one week = IC year, would be workable, would be able to actively grow with a yearly income and such but wouldn't be TOO outragious such as one day per year.

So, what I'm getting at is ... Is there any agreed upon standard for this?

Thank you ahead of time.

Thanks for the reply, but could anyone give me any advice on what sort of time ratio would be appropriate to use? Would it depend who I'm RPing with?

I'd think some form of standardized time would be far more important then even an standardized economy calculator. Even if everyone used the same calculations it wouldn't help much with some people moving ahead a year every day, and others just whenever they feel appropriate and yet others after some other period of time.

Largely it depends on who you play with.

Personally, I use fluid time, basically advancing time as needed. Most of my RP is character based, so 1 day = 1 year would cause some problems, as I would have gone through around 350-some years.
