1. My population is at 6 million, how long do I have to wait until it gets significantly larger?
2. Does anyone have an suggestions on how to make my economy alot better?

it grows as you play I've played a little over a month or so and have 250 million. as for the economy think business and conservatively if you will be kind to big business and screwed to social programs and you'll do well
If you want a very large economy make it so you don't raise taxes too much and that every time you are offered an issue, even indirectly, that you raise the economy and not Health, Social Welfare, Military etc. etc.
Think only Economy nothing else.

Your population will become larger as time goes on in your nation. Josh Patrick Dollins is 250 million after about a month, I think at 6 months your population reaches a billion; your get two billion people when your nation comes close to its 1 year anniversary.
As for economy, you don't want to have high taxes or put a lot of funding into health and social welfare.
