Hi, this looks really cool and I know how i want to run my nation and all but I can't think of a good name for my nation. Any suggestions?

I don't know. Just try to think of something.

You could take a nickname or some proper noun that's relevant to your life in some way, and stick -ia or -istan or something on the end. A real place name, if you want. Or the name of a RTS game map. Anything.

Or you could work an abstract noun in there. Just have a think.

EDIT: How about corrupting a real-life place / political entity name? For example, European Union Inc. Or something.

If you are really stuck and you want it to sound like a name of a nation, take one of your screen names from something else (or just a random word) and add some place-sounding suffix.

A few common ones are -istan, -ia, -ica, and -opolis.

Look at an atlas and get name like "Timbuktoo" or some weird real life name. You could make up a silly one like "Drunk Wombats".

Actually, "istan" is not in itself a suffix.

Play around with words "Qaaolchoura" was random, but some of my puppets I just played with words. "Nokhche" (Chechen for "Chechen person") + "av" = Nokcheav. Sands of Laos => Laos-sands => Lhaossands => Lhaozaand. I wanted an Emirate with a short name, but "Tab" was a former nation, so "Taab" Animal Farm on a large scale => Animal Plantation. The Brave New World was reffered to as "the Utopia, .: The Brave New Utopia. "Esk" sounded sort of riverish, and a lot of countries were named after rivers, hence, "The Esk". "Quintucket" was the name of the river along which I live (It's now called the Connecticut). I use random names like "Aechdavaestan" to see if people actually know about Central Asia, and decided to create one.

For your main nation I would advise, come up with a weird nation name using uncommon letter nations like "Cz", "Dz", "Rw", "Qa", "Qo", "Qe", "Gy", "Dd", anything with "Z" or "X", etc.
