Camelot, Camelot, Where the Weather is Always Fair, Camelot

Now that I have you nearly ready to flame me over the title, I'm glad to see that I at least have your attention.

Yup, folks, we have yet another annoying advert here for the region Camelot.

For the long ancedote: I liked the musical Camelot, and The Once and Future King. I told a friend that I was going to create a region called Camelot about a week ago. My friend told me that it already existed, but neglected to notice that it consisted of one inactive nation (he is rather new to NS). Taking him at his word, and assuming that it was a moderate sized region like Avalon, I didn't other to check it out.

He apperantly noticed that the last nation in Camelot had died out, and refounded it (I'm not sure if he was Hawking it or not). He then left the founder in his own region, without putting in a puppet to replace it, and it was several hours dead, when I noticed his message on my board that he had taken it over. I suppose that we will now be sharing control.

At any rate. . .

The short story, all nations, main or puppet(I have three nations, all puppets in Camelot so far) are welcome in Camelot, there is still plenty of ancient Britain left, and afterwards, we expand into ancient Gaul, Eire, and Man, as Arthur did so long ago.

Also, it's a new region. There is nothing nicer than a newly refounded region, unless of course it is an ancient region brought back from the brink of death.

PS: Bet it takes under fifteen minutes for somebody to guess my main nation. 'though I won't be saying if you are right or not unless you give solid proof.

Qaaolchoura for 3 reasons:

1) It's a good guess anyway.
2) "Region Hawking" is his (your) term.
3) I saw talk of this on the ZF Civil HQ.

4) You admit to being an early july nation in another thread

That was 11 minutes. Within the 15.

I should have known that it would be Naleth who guessed (I was betting on Goober, but I guess that he's logged off).

We're Knights of the Round Table.
We dance whene'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.
We're Knights of the Round Table.
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm a lot.

In war we're tough and able,
Quite indefatigable.
Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable.
It's a busy life in Camelot.

I have to push the pram a lot.

Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin.
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken,
To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his peni...

That's quite enough singing for now Lads - looks like there's dirty work afoot!

Sadly, though, most n00bs know far too little about the wonders of Python. We should make it our sacred mission to teach them!

Nobody's heard of Camelot outside of Monty Python?

Not even the Muisical?

At least the region didn't fall into the hands of Monty Python fans.

Now if you want to take it over you'll have to swamp it with puppets or seize the delegacy (and I'm not going to guarentee you regional control access either. . . )

Well it's a majority - assuming the 4 'Arthurian' ones are all yours, there are now 5 python puppets in there (one is mine - anyone else going to own up? :))

Now, if I wanted to swamp it, I'd move all my other puppets in there

4 of my puppets, 4 Monty Python puppets, and Arthurs court, belonging to a Celtic culture fantic friend of mine. I asked him today. He is a Monty Pyhton Fan, but preffers the traditional Arthurian Legend.
