National animal habitats

The other day I've noticed this:

"The national animal is the sand worm, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation."

Doesn't make much sense. Seems to me that national animals should have different living conditions. Maybe that could be specified as a national geographic condition?

Try having the sand worm froliking in the nation's many lush forests, when your environment is high.

It's just a quirky feature of the game, which can be very funny depending on the particular animal in question ;)

I've had the "national animal is the jellyfish, which frolics in the nation's many lush forests" on some of my puppets.

You might want to get this moved to tech, although I can already predict that the answer will be "We will not be adding any more customizable fields until NS2" (I mean, they won't even add a national capital).

Can't wait until NS2, when (assuming that it is $5 per month, I certainly won't pay $120 a year for it) I will actually have a right to conplain about these things.

It's one of those weird features.
All national animals live in forests. :)

The national descriptions can be so funny sometimes. One of my puppets *cough*plug for region "Dune"*cough* uses the sandworm, too. I forget if I have lush forests or an inhospitible landscape, but either way ... :|
