interesting question
i keep wondering why my own trout fishing is so low
as well as agricultural ratings
glad i'm solid on things like health care and environment

at least i seem to have been so far

and equaly glad to be low on things like insurance sales and some of the others
or was

i guess there's a lot of things i still don't understand about how
some things work arround here

Do you think it's sad if your country does a lot of trout-fishing? :?

Ah, but there, my duck, lies the problem:

You can not have a good environment and healthcare system, and have good industry ratings.

One of my nations is rated very highly for agriculture, manufacturing industries and subsidies, but still quite high for trout. I'm talking top 3,000 for the first lot and around 7,000 for trout. However, it is ranked near bottom for healthcare and so on, and has mediocre social provision in general.

This nation is rated very highly for agriculture too, but not that high for industry, and has mediocre social serivces as well. And the trout is at around 31,000th.

The UN categories are very similar.

So unless I am missing something, in my case, trout fishing is helped by having a more robust capitalist system in place.

We have almost no agriculture of any kind. I invented replicator technology so that I wouldn't have to RP my people starving to death.

Ah, but you have a Powerhouse economy, so it is reasonable to say that you import most of your food. You would, after all, have the funds. Kind of like Japan and the UK in real life.

Yes, I could feasibly do that, but Xanthal has a self-contained economy and I want to keep it that way. Less for other nations to threaten us with.

Yes, true. It's a shame there is no such get-out in real life. Makes things kind of interesting and complicated sometimes, all those interdependencies.

It's interesting, this is true. The Xanthalian government is more concerned with practicality than novelty though.

Hmm... for some unknown reason all three of my nations are in the top 10 of my region's trout sector board. I never really did anything with trout fishing in any of my nations either... heh heh...

My countries have arranged a trout-fishing get-together, should be fun.

Tell Aunt Bea to cook us up a sweet potato pie! But we'll pass on her pickles, thank you!

Come on, pickles are the best part of the meal.

You can't have your puddin' if you don't eat your pickle.
