On behalf of the Democratic Republic of Scientific Freedom, I bid you all a Warm Welcome. For the moment, it seems I am one of the 40% of Regions with only one Nation. I hope to change that.
I believe in Scientific Freedom, and Mutual Protection for Nations. If one is attacked, They are all attacked.

Following the central ideals of Science, a location was sought that would provide a safe haven, for those who embraced Scientific Discovery, Research, and the Evolution of the Human Species, as well as the Ideals of the United Nations.
Defense is also an Issue. Via the Scientific Defense Pact (SDP), all nations are treated as Equals, And defend each other in the interests of Science.

The Democratic Republic of Dolvich recognizes and applaudes your sensible values. Unfortunately we cannot join your region as we have already pledged our alleigence to a region and are already making diplomatic progress there. Nevertheless, good luck and beware of certain religious factions who think poorly of such emphasis on science and research.

The Avoidance of war. War is only to be invoked if all options have been exhausted, and peace is Not an Option.
