Why is it so hard to Outlaw civil rights?

28-12-2003, 04:17
I've been going out of my way to do it and have so far failed.

It will come in increments. Every time you stamp on your citizens, it goes down a little more.

I used to have outlawed frightening outlawed. But then civil rights moved up to a few. Oh well, I'm still trying to balance it out by having civil rights but no political rights and a good economy. So far, it's

Well, in the first place, you legalized euthanisia (according to your spotlight), which would bring up your civil rights. You just have to take it issue by issue...

No, that would be awful.

The best would be World Benchmark Imploded Corrupted (Civil rights occasionally come in conflict with things like Health)

No, well, In life were I ever to run a country, I'd run it like Hitler.

Yes, I'm a Dictator, therefore:

I love my nation's ranking ... medium CR high E low PF ... although, I have the opposite problem as you, I keep bumping down civil rights and then I become Father Knows Best - which I hate.

*shrugs* Theoretically, it's supposed to be a Corporate Police State when my CRs go down, but according to the Spotlight, every time my CRs go down, I become FKBS - and my economy has been Frightening since, like, your nation was first created :P

Why would you want no civil rights?

That hardly seems worth it.

Depends what youre looking for I guess. I like the idea of an orderly society so I do all I can to stamp down on political and civil liberties.
Thats just me, I dont know about anyone else.
If I preferred a more relaxed society Id encourage civil liberties, I kind of thoughtthat was the point of the issues, that you pursued the type of society you wanted.

Ah, that's not hard, that's not hard at all!

Just say, "no!"

[whistles innocently]

Oh, except when someone suggests eating the national animal- Dra-pol's economy went from imploded to frightening in the space of a few days on the strength of duck-eating alone, when I received the issue five times out of six. Right when it was needed most, too.

It was somewhat worrying that during a war in which three millon plus were killed and left to rot in the field a blackmarket in beef-based agriculture sprang up over-night, mind.

I'd say not, but the Brotherhood hasn't actually outlawed all forms of quantifiable civil rights, I note..
That's just asking for something tragic to slip through the cracks!

It's not difficult, if you have a mind for ruthlessness and oppression.

I'm not sure if my "unheard of" civil rights is actually the lowest ranking, but if it isn't my only excuse is that sometimes, when you place the highest importance on the economy, you have to skip out on some oppression. Can't oppress business after all, what am I, a commie? It's a matter of priority.

Dra-pol had both political freedoms and civil rights outlawed yesterday, but then rather strangely barcoding the population has moved civil rights up to unheard of. I admit to not understanding why.

Anyway, Dra-pol does this while maintaining an all-consuming economy (which I deliberatelly brought down from frightening as part of an on-going RP, but now I can't get the damn thing back all the way! grr. people aren't eating enough ducks.)

The CPRD- stubbornly trying to force collectivisation to work since 1931!
