Because, in the first place, squirrels are horrid creatures, they steal food and make a mess of your backyard. In the second, llama is just a wickedly awesome word ;)

I here that they be quite useful though if you live in the Andes.
Actually, i prefer squirrels to Llamas. Can you train Llamas to ravenge your neighbors house and tear out thier eyes upon arrival? I know i cant.

The best thing to train for that is a lovebird.

Llamas are cool because you can ride them and make cool stuff out of their fur.
Have you ever tried riding a squirrel? Its not pretty. And you can't do diddly-squat with a squirrel pelt.
